Norcross, Georgia, February 16, 2012 – LAN Systems, a leading Atlanta IT Consulting firm, announced that Keith Smith will speak at the Fulton Science Academy High School on February 28, 2012. Keith, a recent college graduate, will speak on his career path in high school and college and how he came to work in sales for a technology company.
“We are so proud of Keith,” said CEO Mary Hester. “He is an intelligent, hardworking young man that has much to share with the students. I know he will inspire them to seek careers in technology.”
The activity is part of the collaboration between the Technology Association of Georgia and LAN Systems to support, promote and develop Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) initiatives. STEM education is essential for our students and our nation’s future. These initiatives and focus on STEM will allow us to keep and improve our competitive edge.
TAG’s network of technology organizations and the TAG Education Collaborative’s focus on STEM education initiatives can provide the resources and bandwidth to ensure programs thrive, even in a challenging non-profit environment. The TAG Education Collaborative is the only organization of its kind that can offer access to thousands of potential volunteers, many of whom have relevant domain expertise. In fact, the increasing number of participants and their motivation and inspiration around the TAG Education Collaborative initiative is remarkable.
